Day 1 - Tirane - Kruje - Shkoder
Meet the guide in the hotel lobby. We’ll then embark on a journey to the city of Kruja, a historical and cultural gem located in northern Albania. As we wander through the bustling old bazaar, we’ll be surrounded by the vibrant colors and sounds of the city.
Perched atop a hill, the castle of the national hero Skanderbeg will loom majestically over us, inviting us to explore its rich history. As we step inside, we’ll be transported back in time, learning about this small but mighty nation and its heroic leader.
After our visit to Kruja, we’ll continue on to Scutari, where we’ll arrive at the hotel in the early afternoon. Our guide will be more than happy to recommend local restaurants for lunch and dinner, so you can sample some of the delicious traditional cuisines of northern Albania. After a full day of sightseeing and exploration, we’ll settle into our hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2 - Shkoder - Valbona ( Koman to Firze ferry )
A Journey Through the Northern Albanian Wilderness
As the sun rises, we’ll start our second day with a “take-away” breakfast from the hotel. We’ll then board our minibus and set off towards Lake Koman, surrounded by the verdant mountains. When we reach the departure terminal, we’ll board a traditional boat and embark on peaceful navigation along the Shala River.
After about an hour, the stunning scenery of “Albanian Thailand” will come into view, with its crystal-clear waters surrounded by towering rocks. You’ll have the opportunity to relax and soak in the beauty of this idyllic place or take part in more adventurous activities like ziplining or kayaking.
Our journey will then continue towards the Valbona National Park, stopping along the way to admire the stunning Valbona River and the ancient mill that once provided local farmers with a place to grind their grain into flour. When we reach our guesthouse, we’ll be greeted by the warm hospitality of the local population, and enjoy a traditional dinner under the sound of the ciftelia, a type of Albanian folk instrument.
Day 3 - Hike from Valbone to Theth
Exploring the Majestic 
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll be ready to start the third day of our adventure, this time heading towards the picturesque town of Theth. We’ll make our way through the Dinaric Alps, home to the highest peak in Albania, the Cresta del Drago (Jezerca).
We’ll embark on a challenging but rewarding 17 km trek through the Albanian Alps, gaining 1072 meters in altitude as we make our way to the highest point of 1795 meters. Our journey will take around 7 hours on average, but along the way, we’ll have the opportunity to stop and recharge with a refreshing drink of raki, a traditional Albanian spirit.
When we reach the valley of Theth, a jeep will be waiting to take us to one of the true wonders of northern Albania: the stunning Blue Eye. You’ll have the chance to relax in the icy waters of this beautiful karst spring or take a refreshing swim if you’re feeling brave.
After a full day of exploring, we’ll return to our guesthouse for a traditional dinner and a well-deserved rest.
Day 4 - Theth -Grunas Waterfall - Tirane
After a hearty breakfast at the Guesthouse, you will set out to explore one of the most breathtaking natural wonders within the Theth National Park: the Grunas Waterfall. This magnificent waterfall is surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
As you make your way to the waterfall, you will stop at the historic “Kulla”, an ancient stone tower that has stood the test of time. Your guide will share with you the rich cultural traditions of the people of Northern Albania, giving you a deeper appreciation for the history and heritage of this fascinating region.
After soaking in the natural beauty of the Grunas Waterfall, you will make your way back to Shkodër in your comfortable minibus. On the way, you will travel along the winding roads of Qafe Thore and cross the stunning Boge Valley, surrounded by rolling hills and vibrant green landscapes.
Upon your arrival in Shkodër, you will be treated to a delicious traditional lunch, where you can sample the local cuisine and savor the flavors of the region. After lunch, your tour of the Albanian Alps will come to an end and you will begin your journey back to your hotel in Tirana, where you will spend the night.
