Day 1Tirane - Karavasta Lagoon Vlore

Meet with the tour leader in the morning and transfer to Karavasta Lagoon - The biggest in Albania. Known as the home of Dalmatian Pelican and Flamingos Stop at the ancient city of Apollonia situated on the famous Via Egnatia – one of the most important cities in Roman times. Day 2Vlore / Saranda

After an early breakfast, we depart for Saranda. Drive on the Albanian Riviera looking at the Ionian Sea. Stunning sceneries await us at the Llogara pass, about 1000 meters above sea level. Continue to Saranda, visit the ancient city of Butrint a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was first settled by Greek colonists and was continuously inhabited for centuries forming archaeological layers of passing civilizations. It is situated in a beautiful peninsula among dense vegetation. Drive on the Albanian coast, known for the best views of Albanian Villages. Stop at llogara pass 1071 m over sea level. Visit Porto Palermo Castle. Several stops to see the old villages of Riviera. Visit the ancient town of Butrint famous also for its natural park and lunch in Ksamil the pearl of Albanian Coast Drive back in Berat's direction and stop in Bogove, a small village famous for its waterfall. Hike approx 45 minutes through the amazing nature to reach the waterfall. It is easy lovely hiking through the national park accompanied by the sound of the river and nature The water is very cold but many visitors dive into the deep crystal waters of the waterfall. You can swim there if your body could resist the cold waters. Optional visit: in a small village located in a scenic position surrounded by hills and Tomorr Mountain. Day 3Saranda / Gjirokastra

After an early breakfast, we drive to Gjirokastra. Stop in the Blue eye one of the biggest nature parks in Albania. Famous for its spring. Start driving to Gjirokastra, a UNESCO site and museum town with very distinct architecture. Visit the Fortress used as the venue for the National Festival of Folk Song and Dance and has an Arms Museum with weapons from WWII. Next visit the Ethnographic Museum which is also the house where the Albanian dictator was born. Walk into Gjirokastra Bazaar with free time to explore Bazaar and buys some crafts more about the history of the city and after that walk in its Bazaar which is the most interesting part of the town. Day 4 Gjirokastra / Ardenica / Berat

After breakfast, we start driving in Berat's direction. After 3 h drive visits the monastery of Ardenica Built by Byzantine Emperor, Andronikos II Palaiologos in 1282 after the victory against the Angevins in the Siege of Berat, the monastery is famous as the place where, in 1451, was celebrated the marriage of Skanderbeg, the national hero of Albania, with Andronika Arianiti. In 1780 the Monastery started a theological school to prepare clerics in Greek Orthodoxy. It had an important library with 32,000 volumes that got completely burned by a fire in 1932. The Church of Saint Mary within the monastery contains frescoes from brothers Kostandin and Athanas Zografi, Berat castle is of particular interest as people still live within its walls in their traditional houses, as have their ancestors for centuries. The castle used to have over many churches of which 7 still remain, including one turned into Onufri Museum. Onufri was an Albanian Icon master painter of the 16th century who painted many orthodox churches in Albania and Greece. Proceed with Berat Old Town. Berat is famous for its architecture known also as the city of 1001 windows. A short stop for a tea or café in Uji I ftohte Tepelene, a natural attraction. Visit Ardenica Monastery and Berat castle the biggest in Albania, several monuments are here like old churches and museum. Visit Onufri Museum ( iconography museum )Lunch in an Albanian House. Visit Berat's old town Gorica and Mangalem known as the city of thousand windows or one above one window. Visit Islamic complex, King Mosque end Helveti Teqe. Free time during the night to walk on the famous Berat Xhiro or Promenade

Day 5Berat / Durres / Tirane

After breakfast and this interesting experience, we depart for Durres one of the oldest (founded in 627 B.C.) and most important cities in Albania. We take a sightseeing tour of the Amphitheatre situated in the middle of the modern city in an inhabited area. Continue to Tirana and take a sightseeing tour there. and visit Burkart. A cold war bunker builds to protect Albanian politicians in case of an Atomic Bomb from the westerns. About 105 rooms inside this secret Bunker. In 2013 the government decide to make it public and visitable. Visit the house of Lushnja League – From here the patriot of Albania in 1921 decided that Tirana will be the capital of Albania. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Durres, the biggest in Albania. Hundreds of archeological remains. Visit Amphiteatre of durres the Bigest in Europe. Walk into the Italian part of Durres – See the Italian architecture. Walk into Durre's coast. Visit Tirana center

Day 6Tirane / Kruje / Shkoder

After breakfast, we start driving to Kruje famous as the center of Albanian resistance against the ottomans. Visit the old bazaar one of the biggest in Albania. Famous for crafts traditional carpets and different types of costumes. If you want to buys something the perfect place is Kruja Bazaar. We proceed to Historic Museum to learn more about the Albanian national Hero Scanderbeg, visit the ethnography museum, an old house of VII century. A short break for a café in Kruja then start driving to Shkoder. A stop at the Scanderbeg tomb in Lezhe. See the place where is the monumental tomb of Scanderbeg Shkoder or Shkodra is the biggest Northern city of Albania. Famous for its tradition, culture. Is known also as the city of bicycles and Humor. On a big hill, nearby is Rozafa castle. Situated in one of the most beautiful spots and from there you can enjoy the view of River, Lake, and Sea. Visit Kruja Castle, build on a scenic hill with a view of the Adriatic sea. Visit Ethnography Museum, an old house of XVII century, Scanderbeg Museum there we will understand better the history of Albanian national hero Scanderbeg. Kruja Bazaar the biggest bazaar in Albania. Visit Rozafa Castle, it's located on a scenic hill with a perfect view of the Lake, Rivers, and Adriatic sea. Visit Shkodra promenade,see Italian architecture, Marubi Museum, a central mosque in Shkoder, and Franciscan monastery See the visitor center, walk close to the sea Boat trip if it will be enough time and if we are lucky we can see the Flamingos offering a fantastic show Drop of Tirane end of our service

Day 7 Shkoder - Tirane (or airport )

Last day in Albania. Depending on departure time, if we will have time on our way to Durres we will stop in Lezhe Lunch in one of the best agro-tourism farms and a visit at the Scanderbeg tomb.
