Onze gids nam uitgebreid de tijd om de rijke geschiedenis van Berat te duiden. Hij was duidelijk goed onderlegd. Hij vertelde ook leuke weetjes over Albanië vandaag. Aangezien hij de sleutelbewaarder kende mochten we de prachtig bewaarde orthodoxe kerkjes in de kasteelcitadel betreden. Waren erg onder de indruk van de authentieke schoonheid. Les commentaires que j avais pu lire à propos de Saimir étaient tout à fait à la hauteur de ce que ce guide est réellement : professionnel,  intéressé et interressant.  Un puits des savoirs et de connaissances sur sa très jolie ville!!  Grâce à lui nous avons pu visiter la mosquée,  sillonner les petites ruelles de berat et découvrir le château. Et tout ça de "nuit" vu le passage à l'heure d'hiver!  La pluie était de la partie mais n a pas gâché le plaisir. On est pas des parfaites bilingues mais saïmir parle avec un débit très appréciable donc nous avons appris plein de choses sur berat mais aussi sur l albanie de façon générale!  Par contre pour le coup nous lui avons à notre tour appris le nom de certaines fleurs!!!  LOL

We spent the morning with Gaxibo on a walking tour. What a wealth of information he shared about his hometown of Berat, City of a Thousand Windows. Berat is Unesco World Heritage Site and it is beautiful. We got lucky and it was just my husband and I. He took time to tell us his personal stories, while also sharing the history of Albania. Superbe expérience chez Mama Nina ! Nous avons passés un excellent moment. Rires, bonne humeur, discussions intéressantes autour d’un bon repas pour conclure. Le guide est au top , il s’adapte à vous et parle très bien différentes langues. Nous n’avons pas vu le temps passer ! Le lieu est très convivial, on s’y sent vraiment bien . Je recommande à 100%. Came spontaneously here. Immediately booked a walking tour for the next day. We really enjoyed all our guide had to say about the culture here. Very informative! He tried hard to fit himself to the tempo of our group. He also helped others in our group find a driver after theirs quit due to a familial emergency. Can 100% recommend.
The only downside: the focus was 90% on the castle. We wish we could have gone in/seen more of the rest of the old town (ex. In the tekke).

I did the Guides Winery Tour with Igi as our guide. Such a fun, well organised experience. We were having such a good time as a group he let us stay at the winery after closing. Also delicious wines. Would definitely recommend if you are coming to Berat

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour hosted by Emiliano. We benefited from his love of history and knowledge of Berat’s (and Albania’s) culture, history, politics and architecture. Emiliano invited us to experience a bonus tour of the Berat Castle where got to see the sunset over Berat - fascinating community and such beautiful views we enjoyed!

The only thing we wished we’d been more clear about is how much the Castle Tour would delay eating (as we hadn’t eaten since morning). But that was our fault for not asking. When we did eat and drink, all was absolutely delicious and in the most beautiful settings. Grateful to Emiliano for his time and all he shared with us!

All about Berat
Our tour guide Emiljiano provided us with a great tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Berat and Albania, and answered any questions we had. Wear good walking shoes as there is a steady hill to walk up to the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend.

Great Berat tour
Stayed in Berat castle (grounds) for two nights, and did the tour which starts in Berat town, ended for us, in the castle. It was great, there was lots we would have missed without the tour. Es war ein großartiges Erlebnis, mit unserem Guide Seimir zur Burgruine hochzugehen und durch das Dorf der 1000 Fenster zu wandern. Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe von 8 Personen, die Führung war in engl. Sprache (Seimir spricht ein sehr gutes englisch, verständlich für alle Nationen), die Führung ist lehrreich, interessant, humorvoll, dadurch bemerkt man auch gar nicht, daß man zur Ruine den Berg hochgeht. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug. Die Führung war für 2 Stunden geplant, nach 3,5 Stunden waren wir wieder voll informiert zurück. Ich/Wir können diesen Ausflug nur empfehlen. Der Osum Canyon und der Wasserfall waren super! Aber noch besser war unser Guide der uns sicher den Weg gezeigt hat und immer wieder Hilfestellung angeboten hat. Schön war auch das Sony unser Guide viel von Albanien Geschichte erzählt hat. Ich kann diese Tour jedem empfehlen.!

Wir haben heute die geführte Stadttour durch Berat gemacht und sind absolut begeistert! Es war ein richtig tolles Erlebnis und für uns der perfekte Start in den Urlaub.
Unser Guide Saimir hat uns einfach großartig durch die Stadt geführt. Er vermittelt ein fundiertes Wissen über die Geschichte von Berat, die albanische Kultur und das Land – und verpackt das Ganze unglaublich humorvoll und witzig. Man ist mit ihm sofort auf einer Wellenlänge, und es hat sich eher wie ein  guter Austausch mit einem Bekannten angefühlt.
Die Zeit ist wirklich wie im Flug vergangen. Selbst der etwas anstrengende Aufstieg zur Burg ist uns überhaupt nicht schwergefallen, weil die Tour einfach so kurzweilig und unterhaltsam gestaltet war. Wir haben wirklich viele interessante Dinge gelernt und mitgenommen.

We had such a fantastic time on the river tubing tour! The whole experience was fun and our highlight from our holiday in Albania. The scenery was beautiful and the guides were friendly, helpful as well as making sure everyone felt safe. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and there were plenty of laughs along the way. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun outdoor experience. What a great way to spend your time in Berat! I think this trip a must, if you are staying in the neighboarhood. Surrounded by all those grapevines and olive trees, it's the best way to get to know how the process of producing wine and olive oil looks like and what products the region is offering. The Tour itself is really interesting, starting with the look at the trees in the vineyard, hearing about the history of the place, plants itself and the region, later moving to the winery, to see how the wine is produced, ending the experience with the wine tasting.
Great atmosphere created by our Guide, helped us a lot to get familiar with all participants of the trip.

A wonderful trip to Mount Tomorr guided by Dike. He was an excellent driver—courteous and attentive. He drove us to the starting point of our trek and waited for us with a delicious lunch he had prepared himself. It was a lovely experience, and we had a fantastic day with him. 1. הסיור יצא בזמן.
2. המדריך נתן תוך כדי נסיעה לכרם מידע כללי על האזור, על גידולי כרמי היין ועל הכרם הספציפי שאליו נסענו.
3. כאשר הגענו לכרם המדריך הסביר במפורט על זני הענבים השונים ועל מועדי הקטיף של כל אחד מהם.
4 בייקב עצמו ערך לנו המדריך סיור באזור ים השונים והסביר לנו על תהליך הייצור מהאשכול שנקטף ועד הבקבוק.
5. לאחר מכן טעמנו 3 סוגי יין )לבן, רוזה ואדום( כולל הסברים על כל אחד ואחד מהם. ליוו את היין גבינות, נקניקים ופרוסות לחם עם תבלינים ושמן זית.

Soni is the best guide
We did the waterfall and walking tour of the cannyon and Soni was an amazing guide. The hike was quite steep and I was nervous about slipping as I'm clumsy but Soni was a great help and very supportive. The views were breathtaking and the hidden bar is a little oasis.

The entire tour team was very helpful; special thanks go to our guide, Soni, for sharing so much knowledge and bringing a great sense of humor :) Logistically, the trip was excellently organized—the number of guides was well-matched to the number of participants, information was clearly communicated, and the transport was comfortable. We also appreciated the quality equipment and the refreshments and water provided.
